School in Yuma

SCHOOL IN YUMA

We have been enjoying the sunshine here in Yuma for the last week or so. Emma and Leah wanted to let everyone know about what school has been like here in Yuma.

Emma’s perspective: Well school in Yuma is much different then at Delburne. But some things are still the same………..
Sing O`Canada and do a thousand pages of math a day and stuff like that. School is definitely different then back at home.

Leah’s perspective:
If we are not done our math then we can`t go to gym class (which is the pool!)

Ray has been busy puttering around with the motorhome and we all have been spending time with Ray`s parents and his brother Phil and Kelly. A few of the highlights include:
*Mexican swap meets (farmers market)

*A personalize celtic band performance

*Shopping galore
*Bike rides
*Marguritias!
*And of course lots of sun!

We hope to go over to Mexico for a day before we head off to California on Thursday.

Congratulations to our last blog question winner – Britany Atkinson. The burros in Oatman just love carrots!

This week`s question – Since we have been hanging out at Ray`s parents 55 plus community our skill testing question will revolve around this theme. This is a gated park with numerous `rules`to abide by. The gates are even locked up every night – what time is `lock up`at the Friendly Acres RV park

All for now,

Hello Pilkington/Andrew Family

I believe the gates are locked at 9pm...got to control those forty plus folks!!! Thankyou for the Birthday greetings...I am 4 just like Jacob but I need to use both hands! Ray, just wanted to let you know that Delbune was represented in the Erskine Ladies Bonspiel once again this past weekend. Leslie R, Darlene Z, Shantal B and myself lost in the A final. I think the teepee creepers should be home by 11:00.

I think you guys should be locked up by 10pm. Paul thinks Ray should be locked up by midnight. Helen thinks Carmen should be locked out so she can go have some fun. She needs to be back by 6am when the gates open again. Adam thinks 7:30 or else the girls might run away!!!
Have fun Samantha Overwater

Greetings
Nice hat Leah. When I went to school we were in big trouble if we wore one. Things are a changing.
Emma did the Pipes and Drums sound the same in the desert?
I would think that the gates would close at dark since we old folk like to be in bed wathching T.V. by then.

I would say the gates are locked around 9:30 but anyone staying has a code to get in and out at anytime. Just in case someones son gets lost or is thrown in jail for carrying a small weapon past security when site seeing hey Ray.

Hey Guys!
I'm enjoying your holiday! I think the gates need to be closed at 10:30pm, so the "insiders" can get the party going?!
